hey sorry we got to our hotel late tonight, so we didn't get a chance to write a blog. but here's a picture to keep you entertained until we can write a blog for today.
Thanks, Andrew. I was waiting for you to write us a blog. When do Jimmy and your Dad get a chance? We are delighted to hear from you. I guess you went to Washington today. Am I right? Winnie had a terrible fright this morning when he saw a very large and dangerous lizard out in the back yard near our bedroom window. He, Winnie, went wild when he saw it and barked and tried to hide behind my leg and to make matters worse, he saw himself in the mirror and that just about did him in. He walked behind the mirror to see if he could get that black and white animal and tear him apart, only to find that there was no one there. The mirror is the one which is sitting on the bedroom floor waiting for the redecorating to be complete. It went on for quite some time and we got a lot of laughs out of his performance. He has rested most of the day to recover. I have forgotten where you are going next, but I am sure that it will be fun wherever it is. How is your weather? You did not look too wet in the picture. It was pretty hot here today. I know because I sat outside on the deck and brushed Winnie. I have done a lot of that lately. Did you drive in D.C? The A's are on and they are winning 7 to 1. Mark Ellis got a home run as the lead off hitter. How is Jenn today? And how is Jimmy's ankle? I hope that you are all well today. You are all so nice to send us these blogs. We look forward to them every day and keep looking at the computer to see if you have sent one. You were earlier than the other folks. Thanks for taking the time to remember the old folks and all your friends. I need to go because Winnie wants to watch the game and he has to be no farther than 6 inches from my side. Keep on having fun and remember that we love you guys. Love, GaGa and Winnie
How cool is that?! Nice pic of you! We went to DC in April so your family's commentary on the city is bringing back so many great thoughts about what we did there, too! Love that place! It's kind of "bigger than life" in a crazy sort of way! Linda T
Hello there. Haven't been writing because we have been having some pretty violent weather and power outages. I was driving home during a thunderstorm an hour ago and a warning came on the radio about a possible tornado in the vicinity of Palm Beach Gardens!!! My home is in Palm Beach Gardens!!! I was so scared driving with the lightning strikes to the right and left of me. Got home and poor Gracie was trembling. The warning said to go to the lowest part of your home. I don't have a basement so I just say down in the middle of the house away from the windows. Yikes.
I hope you are not getting storms like this too. I read the other day that you got stuck in a storm. You could have had a wet t-shirt contest if the crowd was large enough.
Your pictures are great. The Empire State Building made me homesick. GaGa and I loved spending time in NYC but that's because we knew we were just spending the day. It's too hectic a lifestyle even for this New Yorker even though my daughter adored living and working in Manhattan. Give me trees, gardens and the ocean. I loved walking on the boardwalk near the ocean on Long Island and I love walking on the beach near my house in Fl. I'm 5 minutes away!
Can't wait to hear what's next. Keep having fun being tourists.
